The short version
The calculators run entirely in your browser. The figures you type are never transmitted to us, because there is no server to transmit them to. This is a static site.
What is stored on your device
If you use a calculator, your last set of entries is saved in your browser’s local storage so the page is not blank when you come back. It stays on your device, we cannot read it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Your figures may also appear in the page URL so you can bookmark a setup or send it to someone. That URL is only shared if you choose to share it — take care, since it contains the weights you entered.
Advertising
This site carries third-party display advertising. Ad providers may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure and personalise the advertising you see, and they act as independent controllers of that data. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
Where required, a consent notice will be shown before non-essential cookies are set, and declining is a genuine option that does not restrict your use of the calculators.
Analytics
Aggregate traffic measurement may be used to see which pages are read. It is not used to identify individuals and it is never combined with anything you type into a calculator.
What we never do
- Ask for your name, address, VIN, licence plate or the dealership you are standing in.
- Sell, rent or pass your details to dealers, RV brokers, hitch makers or lead buyers.
- Email you. There is no mailing list, because there is no sign-up.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning a tow setup and is not directed at children.
